Preparations are underway to prepare the Werribee Street level crossing in Victoria for the construction of a major new rail bridge.
Throughout April and May 2020, activity in the area will increase as Level Crossing Removal Project crews set up site offices along Cottrell Street, locate and relocate underground services such as electricity and water, and clear trees and vegetation within the project area.
During this time, there will be some temporary disruptions in the immediate area, including changes to car parking and the bus stop on Cottrell Street between Greaves and Werribee Streets, as well as some temporary lane closures during off-peak times between 9.30am and 3pm.
Once crew complete these preparations, they will begin piling for bridge foundations and a temporary track, which will minimise the disruption to important freight services during construction.
