Constitution Place Canberra

Construction has “topped out” on Constitution Place, a new business, hotel and hospitality precinct in Canberra, marking completion of the complex’ final floor.

The building, which stands on Constitution Avenue, is expected to breathe new life into the heart of the city.

Construction was fortunately able to continue throughout the COVID-19 period with a focus on the health and wellbeing of the construction works through stringent protocols, including onsite temperature testing as implemented at Canberra Airport.

This allowed hundreds of workers to maintain employment through a challenging time for the ACT economy.

Construction is on track for completion by the fourth quarter of 2020.

It is hoped Constitution Place will enhance commerce and bring vibrance to the nation’s capital as people come to enjoy its a range of new food and beverage outlets in an activated laneway, such as nationally recognised steak restaurant Meat & Wine Co.

Richard Snow, Head of Property, Canberra Airport, said the Capital Property Group was excited to be able to see the project through its next major milestone.

“In a competitive commercial property market Capital Property Group has always had a focus on a quality architecturally driven product that enhances people’s journey through the built environment,” Mr Snow said.

“That’s why Constitution Place has already been so desirable for government, corporate, and hospitality tenants.

“This gold-rated WELLs and 5-star NABERS energy rated precinct, with stunning views over the city and lake, sets a precedent for all future development in Canberra city – and we can’t wait to share it with all of you in the Canberra community.”
