Learn from industry experts and network with more than 250 stakeholders at the Australian Airport Association Airfield Pavement and Lighting Forum in Melbourne in May 2019. The forum is the pre-eminent event to attend for all those involved in pavements and airfield lighting projects at Australian and New Zealand airports.

The Australian Airports Association (AAA) Airfield Pavement and Lighting Forum features a host of Australian and international speakers discussing issues and challenges that airports face on a day-to-day basis.

This Forum is the only event of this nature held in Australia and is an invaluable opportunity to engage with airfield pavement and Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) industry suppliers.

In conjunction with the forum, a Pavement Technology Workshop will also take place. This workshop will bring industry experts together to discuss and debate industry standards including standardisation of products, testing regimes and quality monitoring.

The program for both events includes a mixture of topics specific to both regional and major airports. These include:

  • International and Australian case studies of pavements and lighting
  • Practical pavements and lighting implications of the new MOS 139
  • Development of a sprayed sealing specification for regional airports
  • The FAA technical centre airfield lighting R&D program and outcomes
  • Use of micro surfacing for airport pavement surfacing
  • Performance based asphalt specifications
  • Regional Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL)
  • Apron floodlight evaluation updates
  • Obstruction lighting

An industry exhibition featuring the latest products and technologies will also form part of the event along with exclusive networking opportunities and functions.

Delegates can enjoy Welcome Drinks at the Tonic Bar, Crown Promenade offering the chance to network and relax before the forum begins.

During the forum, a Networking Dinner will be held at the River Room, Crown Casino and guests can enjoy wonderful views over Melbourne’s famous Yarra River and city skyline.

This event is held every second year, places are limited, secure your place today.
