Tasmania continues to lead the country in building approvals according to recently released ABS figures, with approvals up 31.6 per cent on the previous year—the strongest growth in the nation.
In the year to July 2018, there were close to 3000 dwelling approvals in Tasmania, an average of 248 per month.
At the same time, the total value of buildings approved in the year to July 2018, increased by 38.7 per cent compared to the previous year, which was also the highest growth rate in Australia.
