Construction work has begun on Darwin’s new $18 million indoor netball stadium.
The state of the art stadium at the Marrara Sports Complex will include four national standard netball courts with sprung floor surfaces, air conditioning, seating, change rooms, food and corporate facilities, and basement car parking.
The construction contract was awarded to local company Sunbuild in September 2017.
The Northern Territory Government and Australian Governments have contributed $10 million and $8 million respectively.
Planning works are complete and site works are underway, with completion anticipated for November 2018.
