Major works on the Thompsons Road in Victoria are now complete, following the construction of two three-land bridges and the removal of a level crossing near Merinda Park Station.
The construction completes the duplication of 10.7km of road from Dandenong-Frankston Road to Berwick-Cranbourne Road.
Additionally, traffic lights have replaced roundabouts at key intersections to improve traffic flow and safety.
Although the major construction works are complete, the project is still underway with the landscaping and planting of new trees and the opening of the new 10.7km shared walking and bike path.
The final works on the $207 million project are due to be completed by early 2020.
