Doncaster Park and Ride will close in early 2025 to allow for works on the Eastern Freeway Upgrades and North East Link.

To create the space needed for these major works, Doncaster Park and Ride will need to close from Sunday 12 January 2025.

This will allow construction to start on a new Ringwood-bound entry ramp to the Eastern Freeway – which will maintain access for freeway users before works steps up on the new Doncaster Road bridge and Park and Ride.

Once the temporary ramp is open, works on the new Doncaster Park and Ride will start in late 2025 – which will feature a dedicated entry and exit ramp, three longer bus platform bays, a new 435-space multi-level car park, lifts, and space for motorcycles and bikes.

Last year the new Bulleen Park and Ride was opened to provide replacement parking spaces and other travel options while Doncaster Park and Ride is closed for upgrades.

Bus services will continue to operate within the Doncaster Park and Ride until 12 January 2025.  After 12 January, bus stops will be available on Doncaster Road between High Street and Harcourt Street.

Bus users also have the option to join the network closer to home and explore other bus routes or train lines that will be operational during this period.
