The Australian Constructors Association (ACA) is set to host the inaugural Foundations and Frontiers (FF24) Forum, bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders to devise a unified path forward for the sector.
This tripartite event is designed to address key issues such as financial instability, the major gap in workforce demand and resources, poor industry culture and stagnating productivity by uniting industry stakeholders, unions and representatives from both state and federal governments.
Taking place in Sydney on 8 August 2024, FF24 aims to become the annual benchmark event for the construction industry to set goals and track progress toward a better future.
FF24 will welcome the Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, Catherine King, for the opening keynote session, alongside hundreds of the industry’s senior leaders and more than 800 attendees set to engage in the interactive discussions, debate and roundtables throughout the event.
ACA CEO, Jon Davies, said that FF24 will be a catalyst for an industry-wide response to the most pressing issues facing Australia’s construction industry.
“Much like COP and the World Economic Forum, FF24 will provide a unique platform for all construction stakeholders to address the sustainability of the industry, collectively pave the way forward and commit to changes that will secure the industry’s future,” Mr Davies said.
Just as the COP summit has become a key event for climate action, FF24 aims to go beyond traditional conferences by not just discussing challenges but actively pursuing tangible solutions. This event is expected to become an annual cornerstone for the industry.
