A five-year contract to provide maintenance services to BlueScope’s 78km of rail infrastructure in the Port Kembla Steelworks, New South Wales, has been awarded.
Broadspectrum has won the contract which strengthens its long standing relationship with BlueScope, which started in 2001 and extends until 2021.
The new rail maintenance contract expands on its depth of services provided to the steelmaker, which includes asset management, facilities management, shutdowns and project management services.
With the capacity to self-perform the whole scope of rail works, Broadspectrum will leverage fabrication services from its NSW industrial hub.
The five-year contract will start on 1 December 2017.
