Safety improvements are set to continue on the Princes Highway near Conjola, with work scheduled to begin next week on upgrades between Conjola Creek and Lake Conjola Entrance Road.
The works form part of the Transport for NSW Princes Highway corridor safety and efficiency upgrades program, supported by a $60 million investment from the NSW Government.
A Transport for NSW spokesperson said the latest stage will focus on improving the Golden Flats Lane intersection.
“The works will include a dedicated right turn lane for southbound traffic, road resurfacing and line marking improvements,” the spokesperson said.
“These upgrades aim to reduce the risk of head-on and rear-end crashes and improve overall safety for road users.”
Construction is scheduled to start on 30 April and will take place between 6am and 6pm Tuesday to Thursday, and 6am to 1pm on Fridays, for approximately one week, weather permitting.
The program is delivering a series of targeted safety and efficiency upgrades along the Princes Highway between Sussex Inlet and Moruya over coming years.
Motorists are advised to follow signage and traffic control directions and allow extra travel time while works are underway.
