The Future of Construction Summit (FCON), the Australian construction industry’s premier national event focused on creating a more progressive, productive and sustainable construction industry is back in 2025 for a fifth successful year.

Returning to Brisbane on 20-21 May, the 2025 event features over 100 speakers, 70 exhibitors and high-level networking events. Over two days, attendees will hear influential industry figures discuss all the critical issues related to policy, reform, productivity, workforce, project pipelines, innovation, sustainability and technology.

Event at a glance

  • Two-day conference featuring over 100 senior leaders from contractors, owners, financiers and tech companies
  • 800+ top level attendees
  • Exhibition with 70+ booths
  • Dedicated conference tracks focused on:
    • People, innovation and technology
    • Modern methods of construction
    • Preconstruction
  • High profile networking functions
  • Shark Tank (ConTech Pitching competition)
  • FCON Leaders Pre-Conference networking drinks

The FCON Summit provides a unique and critical annual platform for industry professionals to learn from thought leaders, accelerate strategies to overcome sector-specific obstacles and facilitate industry collaboration. It’s a unique opportunity for networking, knowledge-sharing, and partnering with industry peers.

What makes it unique and valuable is the involvement of players from across the entire construction value chain, ranging from owners to head contractors, architects and engineering firms, financiers, legal and consulting firms and material suppliers and technology enablers. This mixture supports collaborative approaches to overcoming challenges and finding solutions that benefit all stakeholders.

In addition to the broad cross-sector representation, the FCON Summit also caters to different leadership functions – this includes the people driving strategy and operations, workforce development, technology evaluation and adoption, sustainability, project delivery, risk management and finance.

The 2025 program has been thoughtfully designed to not only focus on the big broad issues, but also to deep dive into specific themes and discipline related areas. This is most evident on day two, where attendees can attend one of three tracks covering the hottest issues of the day – innovation and collaboration, modern methods of construction, or preconstruction.  Whether it’s understanding the workforce adaptations needed or policy changes that will drive the sector forward, FCON offers a comprehensive overview of what lies ahead.

The 5th annual FCON Summit promises to be an essential gathering for anyone committed to the future of construction. By attending, professionals will not only stay ahead of the curve but also actively shape the sector’s progress toward a more sustainable, productive, and technologically advanced future.
