A joint venture has been awarded a two-year extension to its Framework Agreement with Melbourne Water for the delivery of water asset renewal and upgrade projects.
In 2013, John Holland-KBR Joint Venture was selected as one of two preferred service providers by Melbourne Water and under the extension, it will continue to provide design and construction services to Melbourne Water until mid-2018.
Over the past three years, John Holland-KBR has delivered, or is in the process of delivering, 45 infrastructure projects with a combined value of more than $200 million.
John Holland VIC/SA/TAS/NZ Regional General Manager, Trevor Hall, said the contract extension is clear evidence of the Joint Venture’s combined expertise in water infrastructure.
“We’re proud to be able to continue this important work on behalf of Melbourne Water, delivering vital water infrastructure for the Melbourne community,” Mr Hall said.
John Holland Executive General Manager, Infrastructure, Jim Salmon, said it is great news that the successful partnership can continue.
“We look forward furthering our a strong, long term relationship with Melbourne Water,” Mr Salmon said.
KBR President APAC, Greg Conlon, said the extension is testament to the Joint Venture’s ability to efficiently execute complex projects.
“The John Holland-KBR team in collaboration with Melbourne Water has delivered a wide range of important infrastructure project for the region including water and sewer pipeline renewals, treatment plant upgrades, civil and road works and reservoir improvements,” Mr Conlon said.
