Registrations have opened for ITS Australia’s Mobility 2026 conference, set to bring together government, industry and academia to explore how technology, data and collaboration are shaping the future of transport.
The conference will take place from 27-28 May at Queensland University of Technology’s Kelvin Grove campus in Brisbane, with the Queensland Government as State Host Partner, Queensland University of Technology as Event Partner and Transmax as Supporting Partner.
Delivered under the theme Powering Seamless Mobility, the event will focus on connected, accessible and sustainable transport systems.
ITS Australia CEO, Susan Harris, said the conference would provide a platform for collaboration and practical outcomes.
“Mobility 2026 is about bringing the right people together to share insight, challenge thinking and focus on practical outcomes,” Harris said.
“With confirmed speakers spanning global expertise, senior government leadership and academic research, the program reflects the collaboration needed to deliver seamless mobility for communities across Australia and beyond.”
The conference will open with keynote presentations from senior leaders across government and industry, offering both national and global perspectives on the future of mobility.
Director-General of the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, Sally Stannard, will provide insight into one of Australia’s largest and most complex transport portfolios.
She will be joined by WSP Global Digital Lead – Intelligent Mobility, Dr Ollie Teall, who will present on how data, artificial intelligence, connectivity and digital twins are transforming mobility planning and delivery.
Additional keynote speakers include Chair of the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP), Rob McInerney, Queensland Government Integrated Network Operations representative Vincent Doran, and SkedGo Chairman and Founder Claus von Hessberg.
Across the two-day program, sessions will cover a range of topics including artificial intelligence, sensors and decision-making, active and micromobility, sustainable major events, seamless journeys and customer insights.
