An additional three more level crossings are to be removed in Melbourne’s west, located in Cherry Street, Werribee Street, and Old Geelong Road.
There are two feasible designs for the level crossing removal at each location. Based on technical considerations and achieving positive long-term outcomes, a preferred design has been identified for each site.
Construction will begin early 2020, with a goal of the level crossings to be completely removed by 2022.
