Communities across South West Sydney will gain new and expanded bus services from 5 July, improving access to schools, jobs, health services and major transport hubs, including the new Western Sydney Airport.
The new Route 849 will connect residents with Macarthur Station, Western Sydney University, Campbelltown TAFE, Campbelltown Hospital and Macarthur Square.
The service will operate every 30 minutes between 6am and 10pm, seven days a week.
In Menangle and Menangle Park, Route 889 will also be expanded from 5 July. The service, which previously operated up to 12 times a day six days a week, will become a seven-day service with an additional 83 trips per week.
The new and upgraded services will launch alongside five new bus routes connecting Campbelltown (845), Liverpool (825), Leppington (860), Mount Druitt (772) and Penrith (790) with the new Western Sydney Airport.
Route 840 between Campbelltown and Oran Park will also be upgraded to operate every 30 minutes throughout the week and extended to Leppington, replacing Route 858.
The expanded network is intended to improve public transport access across growing communities in South West Sydney and strengthen connections to education, employment and health precincts.
