A new Chief Executive has been appointed to the Northern Territory Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI).
Louise McCormick, who previously served as Infrastructure NT Commissioner, will take on the role.
Ms McCormick is the Chair of the Austroads Board and Austroads has welcomed the news.
“As the first female Chair of the Austroads Board, Louise has set a high standard of leadership and excellence. Her strategic vision has been instrumental in guiding Austroads’ initiatives and advancing Australian transport industry,” Geoff Allan, Austroads Chief Executive said.
“Louise has been a driving force in the Northern Territory’s transport infrastructure projects, demonstrating her ability to innovate and effectively manage complex challenges. Her receipt of the esteemed John Shaw Medal, awarded for making an outstanding and lasting contribution to Australia’s roads, underscores her dedication and impact.
“We extend our heartiest congratulations to Louise on this well-deserved appointment. Her expertise will continue to drive progress and excellence in the Northern Territory’s infrastructure sector,” Mr Allan said.
