Two management associations have formed a major partnership to further develop the project management capabilities of Australia’s project leaders.

The new partnership between the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) will enable members of both organisations to access a much wider range of exclusive benefits.

Both AIM and AIPM will offer discounted rates for events and accreditation programs, as well as further access to a variety of market leading training and education programs.

This partnership will also see the delivery of a united voice to industry and government on key management and project management topics, which will also benefit members.

AIM CEO David Pich said he was looking forward to working with AIPM on delivering greater value for both organisations’ members.

“I’m excited about the opportunity for our Members to access AIPM’s industry leading project management accreditations and to offer AIPM members many of our own fantastic member benefits.

“As a discipline, project management continues to grow in importance for Australia’s managers and leaders, so it’s important we provide appropriate pathways for our Members to access the professional development opportunities they need to develop as effective managers,” said Mr Pich.

AIPM CEO Yvonne Butler said this was a landmark moment for the management and project management professions in Australia.

Ms Butler said, “We are extremely proud to be working with the Australian Institute of Management, a body whose aims and objectives are so closely aligned with ours particularly around the advancement of excellence in the management, project management and leadership fields.

“The timing couldn’t be better. By working together, we can strengthen Australia’s approach and delivery in the topical innovation and productivity spaces.

We look forward to working with another of the peak industry bodies in Australia and working to share knowledge, advocacy and benefits to both sets of members.”
