The Future of Construction Summit (FCON) is the construction industry’s premier national event focused on strategy, operations, technology and innovation for a more progressive, productive and sustainable construction industry.

The 6th annual national Future of Construction Summit will be held at the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane, from 19-20 May 2026. It will provide a unique and critical platform for industry professionals to learn from thought leaders, accelerate strategies to overcome sector-specific obstacles, and facilitate industry collaboration.

It’s a unique opportunity for networking, knowledge-sharing, and partnering with industry peers, enabling industry professionals to remain at the forefront of innovation and contribute to a more sustainable and technologically advanced future.

FCON26 will feature:

  • 2-day conference featuring over 120 senior leaders from contractors, owners, financiers and tech companies
  • 800+ attendees
  • Exhibition with 80+ booths

Dedicated breakout tracks will focus on technology and digital delivery, net zero construction and renewable projects and project delivery.

New to this year’s event is a Hot Sector spotlight with sessions on data centres, living sectors and modern methods of construction as well as focus discussions on the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Defence infrastructure update and robotics and automation in construction.

FCON26 will feature a dynamic program designed to maximise engagement and learning, beginning with high-profile networking functions and the exclusive FCON Pre-Summit drinks reception.

A major highlight will be the return of Shark Tank, the popular ConTech pitching competition showcasing innovation. New for this year, attendees can look forward to the premier FCON26 Gala Dinner and a valuable, specialised offering: the Post-Summit Masterclass on AI-Driven Intelligence for Construction & Infrastructure Leaders, ensuring participants gain both high-level contacts and actionable, forward-looking skills.
