The RTAA Field Days, with Official Partner Sydney Trains, will be held on the 11 – 12 May at the new site Chullora.
The RTAA is a membership-based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing high levels of services to our members through the promotion of strategic priorities.
Members come from across the Australian rail community and include contractors, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, academics, regulators, government agencies and individuals
“After missing out on exhibitions for the last two years, the RTAA is so excited to be finally hosting the 2022 Field Days. It is one of the most diverse rail exhibitions, with exhibitors coming from the private and public sectors that cover all disciplines of rail,” Jonathan Barnes, RTAA President, said.
The RTAA Field Days is expected to attract over 2,000 national and international attendees and participants will see over 70+ exhibitors, 30+ demonstrations and a two day technical presentation program of the latest research and innovation.
“The Field Days offers an opportunity for our industry and stakeholders to come together and see onsite demonstrations of new technology, plant and equipment. The Field Days is our largest event and is the largest outdoor rail exhibition on the southern hemisphere.
“This bi-annual event is part of the RTAA strategy to be a truly national industry organisation, allowing our members, colleagues, industry stakeholders to network, engage, showcase and learn.”
This will be the 9th RTAA Field Day event and is RTAA’s major endeavour as a means of adding value to members and serving the industry.
It also provides an opportunity to showcase what is current in the industry by inviting rail owners, constructors, maintainers, contractors, service providers and government agencies with the opportunity to display all aspects of the rail industry in a unique outdoor, on track event that appeals to track workers from the ground to manages and company CEOs.
“Displays will include the unveiling of brand new equipment and a few firsts in Australia,” Lynne Greenaway, RTAA Field Day Organiser (The Association Specialists), said.
“Whilst the event is free, we strongly recommend attendees register prior to the event as it will minimise onsite delays.”

To complement the RTAA Field Day, on Wednesday 11 May, the RTAA Gala Dinner will be held at the Accor Stadium and is the perfect opportunity to unwind, reconnect with colleagues and further enhance business relationships in a relaxed and informal setting.
