More than 450 people attended an industry briefing at the Adelaide Convention Centre, where a $5.4 billion pipeline of infrastructure works over the next four years was outlined.
The Minister for Planning, Transport and Local Government, Stephan Knoll; DPTI Chief Executive, Mr Tony Braxton-Smith; GM Procurement, Brian Roche; Acting Chief Corporate Officer, Wayne Buckerfield; and GM Infrastructure Delivery, Jon Whelan, presented to industry representatives.
The presentation outlined the allocated $2.1 billion for building infrastructure, $2.3 billion for transport infrastructure and $1.3 billion for public transport, and gave project profiles on the $354 million North-South Corridor: Regency Road to Pym Street, and $305 million Main South Road Duplication, among many others.
As well as outlining the pipeline of works in the fields of transport, public transport and building infrastructure, the presentation stressed the importance of partnering with industry to ensure the best project results, maintaining the highest standards of safety, promoting innovation, and driving good outcomes for local workforces, trainees and apprentices and Aboriginal workers and businesses.
