The contract to redevelop the St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital, including the provision of the first private hospital Emergency Department within Ipswich and the creation of 90 new beds, has been awarded.
John Holland has been awarded the $45 million contract which also includes the refurbishment of key areas within the existing hospital for Ramsay Health Care (Ramsay).
“John Holland has significant experience in hospital developments, including Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and Lismore Base Hospital,” John Holland Chief Executive Officer, Joe Barr said.
Building Manager QLD/NT, Colin Matthews said, “We have been delivering projects for Ramsay since the early 2000s, and are pleased to be involved in the creation of this first class and highly functional medical facility, which will cater to the health care needs of one of South-East Queensland’s fastest growing regions.”
Project work has commenced on site, with overall project completion scheduled for 2018.
