When wet, clumped soil began disrupting the performance of their Terex Ecotec Trommel, Soil Recycling Co. Director Chris Keay knew a more effective solution was needed.

Clogged hoppers, frequent cleaning, and excessive downtime were hampering operations. Attempts to resolve the issue with outdated screening technology only made inefficiencies worse.

A tailored solution for wet conditions

Seeking a better approach, Chris connected with Sami Rahman, ALLU’s area sales manager, who recommended the ALLU DN 2-12 with TS 25 Axe blades. A live demonstration, led by Walkers Hammers’ Service Technician Carlo Costanzo, showcased the bucket’s capabilities.

Despite persistent rain leaving the soil waterlogged, the ALLU bucket’s anti-clogging, self-cleaning TS drum setup handled the material efficiently, improving processing flow and reducing the need for constant cleaning. The results were immediate – soil processing capacity increased by 12 per cent per day, significantly cutting downtime and boosting productivity.

Impressed by its performance, Chris decided to rent the bucket for continued use.

Enhancing efficiency with TS 50 blades

To maximise productivity, the team later upgraded to TS 50 blades, designed to break down larger soil clumps more effectively. Walkers Hammers facilitated the blade swap, delivering the bucket back the next day, ready for action.

With the ALLU bucket in operation, Soil Recycling Co. has transformed its screening process – reducing inefficiencies, increasing output, and ensuring optimal performance for sustainable soil recycling.

Pioneering sustainable soil recycling

Soil Recycling Co. is driving change in Australia’s waste management sector by diverting soil from landfills and repurposing it as a valuable resource. Collaborating with major partners like ResourceCo, the company converts organic waste into functional products, such as soil mixes for gardening and landscaping.

Operating from South Gippsland Highway in Hampton Park, Victoria, Soil Recycling Co. continues to lead the way in sustainable, high-efficiency soil processing – proving that the right tools can make all the difference.

ALLU revolutionises on-site material processing

The ALLU Transformer D-Series bucket is a game-changer for on-site material processing. By enabling screening, separation, and processing in one step, it boosts productivity, reduces operational costs, and supports sustainable practices. Whether handling soil, gravel, compost, or demolition waste, ALLU delivers versatility and efficiency for any project by reducing the need for extra equipment and transport and minimising environmental impact.
