The show floor is full of exhibitors you do not want to miss at this year’s Converge 2025, Australia’s premier event for municipal works, civil, and commercial construction.

OPT HIRE – Stand B22

Opt Hire has increased its commitment to becoming a number one sustainable equipment hire business in Australia with the purchase of three BYD Shark 6 Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles (PHEVs) which will be showcased at Converge 2025.

This strategic investment marks a pivotal moment for Opt Hire as it continues to transition towards a lower-emission future. The BYD Shark 6, as Australia’s first PHEV ute, offers an impressive blend of robust performance and environmental responsibility, boasting a substantial electric-only range for daily operations and a hybrid system for extended utility.

With instant torque and a reported combined range of up to 800 kilometres, these vehicles are perfectly suited to the demanding and diverse needs of construction site supervision and support.

“We are incredibly proud to unveil this addition to our fleet at Converge 2025,” stated a spokesperson for Opt Hire. “The BYD Shark 6PHEVs represent our unwavering commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, minimising noise pollution on our sites, and embracing cutting-edge technology.

“This move not only aligns with our sustainable vision but also enhances our operational efficiency and provides a safer, quieter environment for our teams.”

The integration of these advanced PHEVs will directly contribute to Opt Hire’s ongoing efforts to optimise energy use, reduce fuel consumption, and demonstrate leadership in sustainable equipment hire practices across Australia.

1800BUGGIES – Stand H11

1800BUGGIES stands as the premier rental provider of high-quality utility buggies throughout Australia, catering to significant construction projects, including tunnel infrastructure and solar farms.

The demand for specialised equipment, such as fully enclosed cabins, has notably increased, particularly in tunnel projects, where operator safety and comfort are paramount. Furthermore, during the winter season on extensive construction sites, cabin kits become essential, offering a cost-effective rental alternative to outright purchase.

The company invites you to explore its four-person Kubota Cabin model utility buggy, which features a 4×4 configuration, diesel engine, ladder racks and complies with mine specifications.

Additionally, 1800BUGGIES offers a selection of buggies equipped with tracks for specific projects that necessitate enhanced traction or are otherwise mandated on some projects.

Its track kits are available for rental on many of the buggies as an accessory. Tracks also provide exceptional protection against punctures in certain environments. Often the Track ATVs are supplied when customers’ standard 4WD utes or buggies can’t reach the destination due to the severity of the terrain.

1800BUGGIES also proudly features a specially designed All Terrain Medical ATV, a critical asset on large projects to ensure compliance with safety regulations. These medical units are tailored to meet construction specifications and are equipped with Tier 4 diesel engines, 4WD capabilities, and mine specifications. They are supplied with medical stretcher beds to make for a hassle-free rental experience.

Andromeda Industries – Stand D20

This year at Converge 2025, Andromeda Industries is excited to showcase its full range of products in person, giving attendees a unique opportunity to see, touch, and explore them firsthand.

There’s simply no substitute for experiencing its solutions up close, and this year’s exhibition will allow visitors to truly understand what sets our Superflex products apart from standard wire rope offerings.

The company is particularly proud to feature its smallest Dean-0 sling, a product that needs to be seen to be appreciated. While it may be small in size, it represents the engineering excellence behind its sling range – especially when you consider that the largest version of this same design is capable of lifting an impressive 165 tonnes. This contrast highlights the versatility, scalability, and innovation built into every one of its products.

Visitors are invited to stop by the stand, explore the displays, and engage with its knowledgeable team.

Whether you’re familiar with Andromeda Industries’ solutions or learning about them for the first time, this is an invaluable chance to familiarise yourself with its slings, lifting gear, and the differences that make the products the preferred choice for demanding applications.

The team looks forward to welcoming you at the stand.

ShawX Manufacturing – Stand H17

Discover the future of truck bodies with the revolutionary EjectX by ShawX Manufacturing – a standout innovation at this year’s expo.

Designed to eliminate the dangers and inefficiencies of traditional tipping, the EjectX uses a horizontal ejector system, meaning no tipping is required. That means no risk of rollovers, making it ideal for confined sites, sloped or uneven ground, and areas with overhead obstructions like power lines or bridges.

Operators benefit from full control via the in-cab control panel, reducing the risk of user error and streamlining the entire unloading process.

The EjectX system ensures a complete and consistent empty every time, with no carry-back or time-consuming clean-outs, and minimal maintenance required, cutting downtime and boosting productivity on every load.

Built to handle a wide range of materials – from quarry products to sticky waste – the EjectX is as versatile as it is tough. It’s also proudly Australian-made, built for the harshest conditions and backed by a team that understands real-world challenges.

If safety, reliability, and efficiency are high on your priority list, make sure you stop by the ShawX Manufacturing stand and see the EjectX in person. It’s not just a product – it’s a smarter way to work. Don’t miss it.

Senix – Stand C26

Premium performance at excellent value –Senix Tools has arrived. If you haven’t heard of Senix Tools yet tradies, now’s the time to check them out. Looking for tools that can mix it with the top-tier brands quality-wise, while also not burning a hole in your wallet? Get a load of Senix.

What is Senix?

“Premium performance at excellent value,” Senix Tools Australia Vice-president Tim Paton described it. “Although Senix offers a price that is excellent value, our tools spec right up into heavy trade.”

Senix might have only recently touched down in Australia, but the brand is no stranger to impacting the global trade landscape, offering solutions across both Power Tools and OPE through its X2 18V, 2X2 36V,X6 60V, petrol and corded ranges in the US and in Europe for years.

Tim said the brand was excited to provide a new option to the unique Aussie tradie market.

“I think the Australian market and consumers have always been very savvy in terms of being able to look at the brand, look at specs, look at the price, and weigh those three things up and make it a fairly considered decision when they make their purchase,” he explained.

Mix it up

Senix has a massive range of 18V power tools as part of its X2 range that’ll pique any tradie’s interest. Tradies like Paul Swann; a carpenter working for Done Right based in Melbourne’s east.

From bathroom renos to maintenance and warranty work, his work takes him to all kinds of jobs. Paul had a chance to put a few Senix tools through their paces and loves what he’s seen so far. A chippy with 14 years under his belt, Paul’s been around the block a few times with plenty of Australia’s favourite tool brands. He said the Senix products he’s used have been equal to, or in some cases, better than the other brands.

“As tradies, that’s something we really look at,” Paul said. “You don’t want to go for the cheapest option on the market because it’s not going to hold up. But Senix is worth it, and sometimes it’s half the price of the other brands. If you can save money and get a better tool, it’s almost a no-brainer, isn’t it?”

Going with Senix can save hundreds for tradies.

“We wanted to make sure that tradies are getting a product that is fit for purpose and will outperform some of the bigger boys in the market,” Tim added.

“Now we may not have the width of range of some other brands, but we’ve always maintained our strong focus is on ensuring we have that core foundation of tools that every tradie needs, day in day out, with top-end specs at a great price.”

If you’re a tradie keen to give a new brand a go that’ll save you cash without compromising quality, check out Senix Tools as it expands its footprint in Australia.
