Melbourne-based construction company, Interface Constructions Victoria Pty Ltd, has entered external administration.
Interface Constructions specialises in educational facility upgrades, as well as developments in sectors including childcare, education and hospitality.
It’s understood the company was not involved in any current projects building government schools at the time of its collapse, as reported by news.com.au on 9 May 2023.
In 2021, the builder completed a 380-seat performing arts centre for Narre Warren South College, including a stage and box office.
The project’s completion followed work on Seaford Primary School, including redevelopment of the school’s administration building and construction of a new sport and art facility.
The company also previously completed works on government-funded schools in Berwick and Bentleigh.
An announcement on the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) website noted administrators from accounting group Hall Chadwick have been appointed to the company.
ASIC also announced a virtual meeting to discuss the future of the company to determine whether a committee of inspection should be appointed, set to take place on 12 May 2023.
