The Victoria Government is seeking 100 new graduates from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to work on Victoria’s Big Build projects, through the Big Build Graduate Program, with applications now open.
If successful, graduates will undertake a two-year program featuring structured learning and development opportunities as well as career planning to prepare for the next step in their professional lives, working alongside industry leaders and learning from experts eager to help and guide the next generation of talent.
Graduates will work on such projects as the Level Crossing Removal Project, Major Road Projects Victoria, North East Link Program, Rail Projects Victoria and West Gate Tunnel Project.
Victoria Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Jacinta Allan, said, “Victoria’s Big Build employs 50,000 people directly and indirectly and the best and brightest graduates are applying to be part of the team that is transforming the way Victorians travel.
“If you feel like you have something to offer and you’re keen to learn from industry experts across a wide range of disciplines, all while getting paid a competitive salary, don’t hesitate to get your application in. We’d love to have you help us deliver Victoria’s Big Build in 2024.”
By joining one of the project teams, graduates will gain first-hand experience working on state-shaping projects that will make it easier for Victorians to get where they need to go quickly and safely.
Job specialties across Victoria’s Big Build include engineering, graphic design, human resources, information systems, land planning and environment and law.
The Big Build Graduate Program is recognised by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers as one of the country’s best workplaces for graduates.
In 2022, more than 1,600 graduates applied to be part of the 2023 cohort, with 138 making it through to hiring.
Applications to be part of the 2024 Victoria’s Big Build Graduate Program close on 22 March 2023. Find out more about the program at bigbuild.vic.gov.au/grads.
